Action Post: How to prevent Bullying.

Charity they say, begins at home. Therefore, creating safe environments for children is a very important way to prevent bullying and help victims of bullying recover because physical and verbal bullying can occur anywhere. As a social worker, I can work with other professionals to educate school officials, parents and other adults about the ways in which the various forms of bullying can be harmful to a child’s well-being.

Also, I can educate children and adults on how to recognize the signs of bullying and at what point to take action. Having regular conversations with children about cyberbullying will also be beneficial. Children should be guarded against bullying because some children who are victims of bullying most of the times grow up to be bullies themselves.

Establishing clear consequences for offenders of bullying is another way to prevent bullying. The negative effect of bullying is so much that nobody should be allowed to go through it. And for this reason, there should be punishments for this act. Hopefully the government can take this issue seriously and put in place the necessary changes.
